Life
Leontius the Hagiorite, also known as Leontius the Clairvoyant, was a monastic of the Peloponnese who passed the greater part of his life at the Monastery of Dionysiou on Mount Athos. According to the synaxarion he was a native of Argos in the Peloponnese, and the tradition surrounding him centers on a remarkable monastic stability: across some sixty years at Dionysiou he is said never once to have stepped beyond the monastery's walls.
He is venerated as a wonderworker for the gift of clairvoyance and prophecy attributed to him, and is commemorated by the Orthodox Church on June 18. He is distinct from the saint named Leontius of the Kiev Caves, who is remembered on the same day.
